SOCIAL MEDIA
For my capstone class, I worked in a group with four other people to create social media content inside our advertising campaign for Taco Bueno. We were repositioning the band to appeal to the gen Z audience. We wanted to do this by creating a party lifestyle associated with Taco Bueno, and use trending sounds that gen Z is used to hearing. The four Instagram ads I created are “Bueno Vibes only,” “We’re not your old man’s country club,” “Good by yourself, better with friends, bueno,” and “Bueno for your buck. affordable, fresh and fun.” These ads appealed to our gen Z audience bringing in the fresh, affordable, and fun aspect they wanted when we did our primary and secondary research. I wanted to create a sense of convenience, community while also being visually appealing to the gen Z audience. The Facebook content I created is “Feeling nostalgic? Join the Club,” and “Remember this taco? It’s even more bueno now.” I wanted to attract an older generation on Facebook as that’s who they targeted in previous years. I wanted to create a sense of nostalgia for them because Taco Bueno has been around for so long. Lastly we created four videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok that appeals to the gen Z audience, using trending audios and highlighting the club aspect.
Mesero Restaurant
For Mesero Restaurant Group, I created a full month social media calendar. I created graphics using Photoshop and Canva using the target audience that Mesero has. I also created videos for Instagram Reels and TikToks which feature behind the scenes with the workers, aesthetic brunch videos, and humorous interactive videos. My main goal was to get people to view Mesero as a fun environment who cares about their employees and their customers. I also used interactive graphic posts to get people to stop and look, and actually interact with Mesero.

• From creating content that fits with the target audience of Mitchell’s Jewelry, I learned how to create content from start to finish, create a content calendar, schedule posting, and copy write what fits the brands values and goals. I also learned how to create an effective social media audit, where I can dive deep into what works well for the brand as well as the brands competitors.

• This Advertising Freelancing Opportunity allowed me to use all of my learning in school to create Digital Marketing posts in a real-world scenario. Doing this by myself instead of collaborating with a group really pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to excel my confidence in my digital marketing work and experience.

• This project was the first part of my advertising journey. This class/project helped me think outside the box, and get creative with how to effectively engage an audience with a brand.
